| PANMEDIALE, a collective of artist/musician/programmer/scientist/performer (s), have created an open-framework laboratory for the critical re-evaluation of “new media”. Cosmic Death is a 2-day event of generative sound, video, and light installations and performances by the new-media collective, Panmediale. The title refers to the lag-time in which the death of a star is perceptible, shifting perspective on the temporality and distance of the cosmos. Galerie Walden will host the event on the 24th and 25th of January, 2014. The group, combining influence from their myriad backgrounds and interests, is centered around an exploration and questioning of the term “new-media”, taking the gallery space as laboratory for experimental electronic art. Cosmic Death will present interpretations of this theme within a variety of time-based works. |  |
